Turkey Sandwich

A few days ago I purchased a package of turkey breasts (I hate calling them breasts) for roughly 27 AED at Spinneys. They were going to expire tomorrow, so I gathered up some energy and decided to fry them up! From two “breasts” I was able to cut them in to 10 thinner slices (thanks to my mom for sharpening my knives while she was visiting the other week). Unfortunately I burnt the last slice while I was cleaning up the dishes, so the dog had a nice treat!
Directions:
  1. Take one plate, crack an egg on it, add some milk and beat it.
  2. Take another plate and pour breadcrumbs
  3. Warm up your frying pan (not too high), put a blob of butter on it and then add some oil (I use sunflower, whatever floats your boat)
  4. Once it is hot you are ready to go!
  5. Dip your turkey slices first in the egg batter, followed by the breadcrumbs
  6. Fry until golden and cooked through

I personally like the “Portuguese rolls” from Spinneys. You can put a slice of onion inside, lettuce, etc…some cheese, and I really like to use a good serving of “Ocean Spray” cranberry sauce (makes it feel a bit “Thanksgiving-ish).

Hope you enjoy my simple turkey and cranberry and sandwich recipe!
And for dessert: Mince Pies 🙂 I was so happy to find them  today at Spinneys!
