Venue Review: #1 Ice Cream at Tichy-Vienna,Austria

You scream, I scream, we all scream for TICHY!

I have always been a huge fan of ice cream! And I must say Tichy serves up the world’s best ice cream! It is natural, rich, and smooth tasting. This spot at Reumannplatz has been around for MANY years! The interior of the palais area is like stepping back in time (1950’s). It is so cute and romantic! They have a massive menu with all varieties of ice creams and different ways of serving them. My favourite is the traditional ice cream in a bowl! I always go for banana, strawberry, hazelnut, and blackberry frozen yogurt. They taste as natural as if you were to bite into an actual banana (but with added sugar, etc). My little one had  a Popsicle which was very tasty! They are also famous for inventing “Eismarillenknödel” (ice cream apricot filled dumplings) so that is another special thing you can try! All the ice creams are made fresh at the restaurant using an old secret recipe, the girls wear the old fashioned uniforms (pink and white), and the ice cream is served up the old way with long silver spoons. It really is another must-see/try place in Vienna! You will not regret the journey there! A little “insider tip”…you will see the large Tichy sign, you can either stand there in line and order a cone (1.90EUR) or sit on the outdoor patio area. However if you go to the right of Tichy, you will see a small sign/entrance way for the “palais parlour”. I love going in there, it is a bit quieter, and they have AC=)
