I don’t think I have ever taken this long of a break away from my blog.
October is the busiest month for me out of the entire year! Always lots of visitors flying in…my Mom’s birthday, Ruby’s birthday, traveling ( I went to India) Canadian Thanksgiving + Halloween. Which means lots of cake, baking, party planning and decorating!
It’s nearly come to an end. Halloween is just a few days away and I can’t wait! I get just as excited about Halloween now as I did when I was a child:) Ruby will be dressing up as Rainbow Dash (My Little Pony), Nate can’t decide between an Oompa Loompa or Spiderman & I have my Sailor Moon costume all ready to go from my trip to Tokyo!
Time away from my blog did me well. I was able to regroup and dedicate %110 to my family. I enjoyed this “time off” but I also missed pouring my heart out to the world wide web. I missed the interaction I had with you and your feedback. I never wrote any posts because truthfully I was having a bit of a foggy brain. I didn’t want to bombard you with nonsense or things that didn’t relate to “me” just for the sake of posting. I’ll never sell myself out I promise! I want all of my posts to be natural and reflect who I am as a person & a Mom.
OH! And I have been DYING to share deets + pictures on Ruby’s 5th birthday bash I threw her a few weeks back but it has to remain under lock and key until it gets published in a local magazine. It was an absolute blast! Her theme was Lalaloopsy and I decided to take it back to my days where everything was handmade and all about games and having fun. Yes, I did it all by myself! No party planner, no food catering it as all me baby! I organized games and a prize basket, we had a pinata, pin the bow on Lalaloopsy + beautiful treats I baked with my Mom for the kiddies. I also hired a pony from Al Tamimi Stables and a face painter.
I look forward to getting back in touch with all of you as I mark my third anniversary of my blog this coming November.
Check me out on Instagram to stay up-to-date on the day and the life of yours truly 🙂
