Since moving to a colder climate I suffer greatly from dry skin. When I was in Dubai last month I picked up a jar of olive soap. While I was roaming the beauty aisles I spotted a jar of this green goodness! I quickly remembered once when I went for a Moroccan bath the lady had used that same soap on my skin prior to exfoliating. I was sure I could do the same at home plus I still had the special glove in my bathroom! You can purchase the olive soap (sorry only my Dubai peeps can probably get their hands on this stuff) at Lulu’s & Union Co op. It costs roughly 15 dirham and the jar will last you for a year! The mitt can also be purchased at the same shops (make sure it is specified for Moroccan bath).
You will also need a bar of this heavenly, DIVINE stuff from Lush! The greatest invention! My favorite is the “Little Pot Of Energy” (yellow bar) which is a solid, packaging-free lotion!
Step 1. Take a hot shower, wash your hair and let your skin become porous from the steamy water
Step 2. Take a dab of the olive soap (a little goes a long way) and rub it all over your skin
Step 3. Leaving the soap on, take your Moroccan bath glove and start rubbing your skin in a circular motion. Don’t scream when you see the amount of dead skin building up! It’s crazy!
Step 4. Once you have removed all the dead skin, rinse off and towel dry your body
Step 5. Generously apply the bar from Lush all over your skin
Step 6. Enjoy your new skin! And please let me know on the comment section how amazing this new routine worked for you! Do it about every 2 weeks! Trust me it’s a game changer!
