Fun Find: Vintage Photo Booth

The best 3 euros you can spend in Vienna!

Who doesn’t love an analog picture with a snazzy vintage look? I do! This photo booth takes you back in time. Every so often I take the children down to MQ for a quick black and white photo strip to add to our ever-growing collection. I really think this is a hidden gem in the city. Perhaps it takes me back to my youth when my friends and I would pile into a booth to take pictures, scraping change from our pockets so we would have just enough for one strip. Afterwards, we would bend and carefully tear the photos into 4 and share them amongst us.

The ‘Photoautomat’ is located directly inside Museums Quartier (across from Mumok) it’s hard not to miss! Here it is:

The 5-minute wait for the strip of 4 photos to print is a great way to test your child’s patience! Just kidding, it adds to the experience (I think).

I love having these photo strips as keepsakes. Although I can’t stop the time of my babies growing I can preserve all our crazy and special memories in an old fashioned way. I hope in years to come my children will look back and say ‘Hey, our Mom was pretty cool’! (I can hope, right? Maybe…)
